Maija Neimanis is a Latvian born jewelry designer, educated in the United States. She began her career as a very successful costume designer for film and television. After 20 years of costume design, she took a three week course at the Jewelry Arts Institute in New York City. That course changed her life.

She began an intensive study of the ancient art of granulation, enameling, lapidary, chain-weaving, and other ancient techniques involving 22-karat gold. Her unique work has brought museum quality jewelry to a new level due to the fact that she uses the ancient techniques of the Greeks and the Etruscans. Her jewelry features 22 karat granulated gold and gemstones.
